Cut backing & batting 8" wider and longer than quilt top & square the backing. If using 45" wide backing, remove salvages, use 1/2 inch seams to piece the backing and press seams open.

I use 40 wt Glide Thread. It's a trilobal polyester thread produced from high-tenacity filament yarn. Elongation variation from color to color is minimal ensuring uniform tension throughout each and every spool.
